item upgrades are upgrade elements that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an added benefit. They tend to be more expensive and require that the item be of an appropriate rank.
Upgrades are rarely worth the cost for items that have high requirements. This is particularly relevant for items such as the Titans of eth that do not have a lot of variation.
Glyphs
After reaching level 50 the action-RPG of Blizzard moves from its simple campaign to the final game. This is when things really begin to change, with players pushed into the Paragon Board leveling system, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds to ensure their character's build is as robust as it can be.
Glyphs play a significant role to this process. The higher the Glyph's upgrade levels boosts its stats and its radius of impact on the Paragon Board. There are a variety of ways to acquire these upgrades, but the majority of players will be relying on the primary method: raiding Faction Crypts.
Glyphs lets you insert symbols into your text. You can select from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. The panel initially displays glyphs in the font in which your cursor is but you can switch to another font or type style, and narrow the list of glyphs to a smaller subset by selecting one of the options below the Entire Font (for example Punctuation displays only punctuation symbols). When you hover your mouse over a glyph, you can find its CID/GID and Unicode value in a tool tip.
The Glyphs Panel will keep track of your most recent 35 glyphs and show them under Recently Used in the first row (you have to expand the panel to ensure you can see all 35). You can also remove a glyph from this list by clicking on it with the right-click or Control-click and selecting Remove From Recent Glyphs.
The Glyphs Panel also allows users to create a customized set of glyphs. This can be useful if you frequently need to type certain types of text. This will prevent you from needing to manually insert each glyph whenever you need it.
A custom glyph set may comprise up to 31 glyphs comprising the base name as well as its suffix. The glyphs in the base name must be uppercase English letters (A-Z) as well as lowercase English letters (a-z), European digits (0-9) and underscore (_). The suffix may include ligatures, or contextual alternative. These are special versions which combine two or more letters into a single glyph.
Reroll Tokens
Upgrades are the main mechanics that give additional bonuses to items, including stats. Upgrades are available in three different types: rerolling, leveling up and recycling. Each type offers a distinct bonus on the item.
Reroll Tokens permit players to change the base power of an item and number of upgrades, and can also be used to reroll ring substats. This is helpful for players who want to upgrade their item but the "potential" power of the item is not what they want. Also, if the item's substats aren't optimal.
A reroll costs 1 token, and will reset all upgrades on an item but will leave the rarity, set and level unaltered. Leveling an item up increases its level and, with each tier, the primary stat is increased by +3, and an additional stat randomly gets boosted alongside it. item upgrade of an item rises by 1 when you level up an item to the highest achievable level.
The Blueprint Desk is a tool that lets players purchase new appliances, ingredients, and Decorations for their restaurants. Blueprints are given at the start of each Preparation Phase. They appear as envelopes which can be opened by pressing Grab. Each blueprint comes with its own icon, and every category of upgradeable item displays a different icon:
Some recipes require the use of certain ingredients or appliances which are available by selecting a Franchise Card from the Blueprint Desk. Some Appliances and Inputs are staples, meaning that they will not be available in the Shop or on rerolls, while others have a higher chance of appearing when the franchise card of a particular brand is selected at the Blueprint Desk. This is called the Staple Pool, and the items that are in it will remain in the pool for the rest of the run. In the same way, non-staple equipment is transferred to the Seed Pool when it is purchased from the Blueprint Desk.
Recycled Items
The third "R," recycle, is where the magic really occurs. You can benefit the environment by recycling a product made from recycled material. The majority of recycled items are sent back to the original manufacturer to be remanufactured as a new item. We refer to this as "closing of the recycling loop."
If someone places something in their recycling bins at the curb, it is taken to a Materials Recovery Facility where it is separated and sorting. Then, it can be offered to manufacturers at the end of the line to be remade into something brand new. Remade products include:
This process helps reduce the need to grow harvest or extract raw materials from the Earth to make something new. This reduces the damage done to nature; fewer trees are cut down and rivers are diverted and wild animals are displaced. It also reduces the amount of pollution created by dumping substances into our water, soil and air.
Purchasing recycled products helps keep local businesses and jobs alive particularly for those who specialize in recycling materials. The demand for recycled items encourages companies to take part in this eco-friendly initiative.
Another reason to buy recycled products is that it takes less energy to produce new items from recycled material as compared to creating them out of raw materials. The process of manufacturing a new aluminum container requires 95% more power than the process of making an aluminum can made from recycled materials. Every little part counts.
Leveling
The majority of units can level-up, giving them extra XP every time they attack or are attacked. The XP used for this is used to unlock upgrades or to increase the primary stat of the unit. Weapons are a good example of this, since they can be upgraded, increasing their damage and range.
Most leveling systems require a certain amount of levels to be reached, though this may vary from game to game. Leveling is accomplished by spending either coins or resources. Most systems use both to increase an item's level, but certain systems only make use of one or the other.
In many games, leveling can be problematic because it makes certain units too powerful while other units aren't able to compete. It is recommended to limit the amount of leveling that a player can achieve, and require them to make a choice on what they wish to upgrade and the reason for it.
